Class Schedule
Secret Ingredient Classes
All classes at The Secret Ingredient are one to two hours in length (depending on format)and held in the comfort of Tracy's kitchen. Classes are kept small to encourage participation, and never are larger than eight students. Each month features something new---a particular ethnic cuisine, cooking concept, or theme.
In addition to the monthly class schedule (listed below), Tracy also offers private group classes. For more information, click "Private Groups" on the sidebar.
A NOTE ABOUT WAITLISTS: Once a class has sold out, names will be taken for a waitlist in case of cancellation. However, if there is sufficient interest, a second section of the class will be added and those waitlisted will be contacted via email.
Simple Superbowl Party
Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 7-9pm ($55)Sporting events are a perfect reason to throw a party! Whether or not everyone watches the game, they'll all love this party menu. We'll kick off with Buffalo Chicken Dip and Barbeque Shrimp, heat up halftime with some Chipotle-Black Bean Chili, and score the final touchdown with a "special" no-bake dessert.
Morning Pizza Dough Workshop
Friday, February 6,2009, 10-11am ($30)Take-out is out, cooking-in is in! Learn to make fool-proof pizza dough during this hands-on workshop. We'll make a basic dough, whole wheat dough, herbed dough, and semonlina dough. Add toppings, and you have a fantastic dinner without the delivery!
Do-Ahead Dinner for Six
Tuesday, February 10,2009, 7-9pm ($55)Don't let dinner parties stress you out! Entertaining is easy with this do-ahead menu! We'll start with Three Onion Soup Au Gratin, perfect for the winter season. The main course is "upside-down grilled" Chili-Rubbed Flank Steak with Mango Salsa, and on the side we'll serve an Orzo Pilaf with Cilantro.
Spanish Tapas Party
Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 7-9pm ($55)If you got closed out of this popular class in December, don't miss it now! Spanish tapas are perfect for entertaining. Sip sangria and learn to create simple yet elegant hors d'oeurves to serve at your next party. On the party menu is a classic Roasted Red Pepper Tortilla, Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Toasts, Chorizo-Stuffed Mushrooms and Spanish Marinated Olives.
Perfect Pastas
Wednesday, March 11, 2009 7-9pm ($55)Everyone loves pasta--it's simple enough for a weeknight meal, yet elegant enough for a dinner party. In this class we'll forget about carbs and perfect three versatile pasta dishes. Penne alla Vodka, Linguini Carbonara with Artichokes, and Rigatoni Bolognese are on the menu and sure to become favorites at your dinner table.
The Secret Ingredient Policies: Payment is required to hold a class spot. No refunds within one week of class. If you are unable to attend, you may send a replacement or request recipes. Menus are subject to minor changes.
